Hon Charles Mok, is the Legislative Councillor representing the Information Technology Functional Constituency, member of The Professionals Guild. He has been serving the ICT industry for more than 20 years. He is currently the Vice Chairman of the Professional Commons, Honorary President of the Hong Kong Information Technology Federation and Founding Chairman of the Internet Society Hong Kong.
Charles Mok is dedicated in fostering the development of innovation & technology in Hong Kong. A wide array of issues he pursues include Smart City, nurturing of tech talents, supports to start-ups, STEM education, review of outdated regulations, open data, privacy concerns, Internet freedom and information security.
Charles graduated from Purdue University in the United States with his Bachelor and Master degrees of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering.

Ir Dr the Hon LO Wai Kwok, SBS, MH, JP, is Member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, representing the Engineering Functional Constituency. He is the current Chairman of the Public Works Subcommittee, Chairman of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, the Housing Authority, the Hospital Authority and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Chairman of the Business and Professionals for Hong Kong, Founding Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Strategy Alliance, member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Committee Member of the China Association for Science and Technology.

Ms Shanthi Ravindran is a Principal Architect at Motorola Solutions in APAC, responsible for Motorola’s Public Safety Software portfolio in the Asia Pacific region. Shanthi has over 30 years of experience in design, deployment and operations of Wireless networks and Telecoms software for operators across the Asia Pacific from 2G to 5G networks. She has researched the development of virtualization, orchestration, software-defined networking, IoT, analytics and AI over the past few years. She is currently working on the application of these technologies in Public safety networks and Safe city solutions.
Shanthi holds an engineering degree from University of Kerala in India and a Master of Business Administration degree from Aalto University, Finland.

Mr William Tse has joined the GSMA in 2013 as Market Development and Strategic Engagement Director in Greater China and APAC regions. He is currently driving the GSMA strategic initiatives, such as Future Networks, Identity and IoT Programme etc., with Greater China and Asia mobile operators and ecosystem strategic partners, etc. Prior to joining GSMA, William had more than 20 years of experience in Ericsson, Nokia and Nokia Siemens Networks, as Head of Strategy Sales and Head of Solution, working in strategy & sales development in networks, services, business and multimedia domains. He and his team achieved the market & customer breakthrough in Japan, Australia, Philippines, Thailand, and Indonesia markets in a number of deals. William has MSc and MBA academy qualification from CUHK and HKUST respectively ranked top list in the world.

Mr Anson Tang

Mr Anson Tang is the Chief Technology Officer of Huawei Enterprise Business Group Hong Kong and he has been overseeing the overall solutions including network, IT and transmission in Huawei Enterprise Business Group.
Mr. Tang brings to Huawei more than 17 years of experience in telecommunications and IP networking. He has extensive knowledge and solid understanding in enterprise network design, cloud architecture, wireless communication, solution strategy and product marketing in the ICT field.
He joined Huawei in 2013 as Solution Manager and he involved in many major projects including Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge TCSS and Central–Wan Chai Bypass TCSS, MTR Shatin Central Link Transmission and Data Communication Network, MTR Digital Advertising Private Cloud System and AAHK Smart-CCTV Core System.
Mr. Tang holds a bachelor degree in electrical and electronic engineering at University of Hong Kong.
Dr Man-Wai Mak

Dr Man-Wai Mak received a BEng(Hons) degree in Electronic Engineering from Newcastle Upon Tyne Polytechnic in 1989 and a PhD degree in Electronic Engineering from University of Northumbria at Newcastle (now Northumbria University) in 1993. He joined the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 1993, and presently is an Associate Professor. Dr. Mak has taught courses in speech processing, human computer interaction, neural computation, software engineering, objected-oriented design and programming, database systems, and distributed systems and cloud computing. He has authored more than 180 technical articles in speaker recognition, machine learning, and bioinformatics, and served as a guest editor of international journals. He has served as an associate editor of IEEE Trans. on Audio, Speech and Language Processing, Journal of Signal Processing Systems, Advances in Artificial Neural Systems, and IEEE Biometric Compendium. He is a tutorial speaker in Interspeech'2016. Dr. Mak is also a co-author of the postgraduate textbook “Biometric Authentication: A Machine Learning Approach, Prentice Hall, 2005.” and "Machine Learning for Protein Subcellular Localization Prediction, De Gruyter, 2015". He has received three Faculty of Engineering Research Grant Achievement Awards and a Faculty Awards for Outstanding Performance (Research and Scholarly Activities). He is also experience in software design and implementation, and he has provided consultancy services to companies in Hong Kong. Since 1995, Dr. Mak has been an Executive Committee member of the IEEE Hong Kong Section Computer Chapter. He was the Chairman of the IEEE Hong Kong Section Computer Chapter in 2003-2005. He also served as a member of the IEEE Machine Learning for Signal Processing Technical Committee in 2005-2007 and a member of Technical Committee Member, IEEE Computation Intelligence Society, Intelligent Systems Applications in 2008. Dr. Mak has served as a Program Committee member of a number of international conferences, including MLSP'06–2010, BIBE'07, PCM'07 (Track Co-Chair), ICMLC'20007–2011, APSIPA'09–2011, ISCSLP'08-16, Area Chair of Interspeech'2014 and ICTAI 2016, Steering Committee member of ISCSLP, ISCSLP16, Program Co-Chair of ISCSLP'18, etc. Dr. Mak's research interests include speaker recognition, machine learning, and bioinformatics.

Mr Allan Wong is the Deputy Chief Information Officer of Airport Authority Hong Kong responsible for all the information technology applications, infrastructure and operations services to Hong Kong International Airport and its airport communities. In his capacity, he is also responsible to drive and execute smart airport vision, and focus on innovation to bring the business benefits of better passenger experience and improved operational efficiencies in areas of advanced biometrics, mobile technology, robotics, digital twins/Internet of things and big data intelligence.
Allan has almost 30 years of solid experiences in Information Technology with extensive services, consulting business and management experience across Greater China and Asia Pacific. Before joining the Airport Authority Hong Kong, Mr. Wong was the Head of Implementation & Integration of Dimension Data, Asia Pacific. He has also held various senior regional management positions in different multi-national corporations including Oracle Systems, Avaya and Cisco Systems.
Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering with First Class Honours, a Master of Corporate Finance from Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Master of Business Administration from Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is a Chartered Engineer and appointed member in Electronics Discipline Advisory panel of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers.

Mr Remon Pot grew up in the low-lying west of the Netherlands and was inspired by the ongoing challenges to protect the hinterland from flooding. After completing an MSc in Coastal Engineering at Delft University of Technology, he joined Fugro in 2012, where he worked on complex construction projects, specialising in risk management and smart embankments. Remon played a key role in the development of Fugro’s digital platform, Gaia Insight which leverages Fugro’s vast data sets of the earth’s sub-surface and Internet of Things technologies to make the sub-surface transparent, delivering crucial insights that help to realise critical infrastructural projects in dense urban areas, whilst protecting assets.

Mr Tony Chan holds Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and the second Bachelor’s degree from Tsing Hua University, he also holds Post-graduate Certificate of Marketing Innovative Technologies from HBS as well as the Post-graduate Diploma from HKU.
Mr. Chan has over 28 years of experience in software engineering. From the last decade Mr. Chan fully focuses on the world’s leading Big Data AI projects from Apache Software Foundation, including Apache Hadoop, Apache HBase, Apache Spark, Apache MxNet as well as the world’s most advanced open source database PostgreSQL.
Mr. Chan is the CTO of EmblocSoft that distributes Apache’s leading open source projects to APAC.
