Charles Mok, Legislative Councillor representing the Information Technology Functional Constituency, has been serving the Information Technology and Telecommunication industry for more than 20 years. He is the president of Professional Commons and co-founder of Internet Society Hong Kong. He is active in public services with a view to upholding the core values of Hong Kong of which include democracy, liberty, human rights, rule of law and integrity. He graduated from Purdue University in the United States with his Bachelor and Master degrees of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering.

Mr. Wenlong Chen is Chief Technology Officer of Government ICT Solution, Enterprise Business Group, at Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. In this role, he is focused on IT, wireless, network and Unified Communications & Collaborations products particularly for smart city. He is responsible for Government ICT solution architecture, as well as supervises a global Government ICT solutions team to conduct market development & support activities.

 

Mr. Chen has worked in ICT field over 23 years, 5 years for large enterprise and Government industry. He has a good command over the value chain: from engineering, customer satisfaction and sales support to operation, marketing and business development.

 

Mr. Chen joined Huawei in 2010. Prior to that, Mr. Chen held several positions, including Director of Technical Marketing in UTStarcom, and Senior Manager for field technical support in Nortel.

Ir Dr the Hon. Lo Wai Kwok, SBS, MH, JP, is Member of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, representing the Engineering Functional Constituency. 

 

Dr Lo is very active in the community and has served many government organizations, professional bodies and trade associations.  He was President of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers in the session 2007/08 and was a Sha Tin District Councilor for many years. He is currently Chairman of the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency, member of the Hong Kong Science & Technology Park Board of Directors, member of the Housing Authority, the Hospital Authority, and the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority. He is Vice Chairman of the Business and Professionals for Hong Kong, Chairman of the Hong Kong Green Strategy Alliance, and Immediate Past President of the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association.

Dr. Winnie Tang, JP is the Founder and Chairman of Esri China (Hong Kong) Limited, one of the international offices of Esri. Esri is the top 50 software companies in the world; it is expert in Geographic Information System (GIS) technology which is extensively adopted in both public and private sectors across the globe. Over the years, she has published 6 Chinese and English books and over 200 research papers, newspaper articles and journals to dedicatedly promote ICT knowledge, applications and share her views regarding smart city and entrepreneurship.

 

Dr. Tang has been serving various roles in the government advisory boards and non-governmental organizations to encourage the social and technological developments.  Some of her current major appointments include Member of Election Committee (IT Subsector); Founder and Chairman of Steering Committee of the Smart City Consortium; Co-Founder of eHealth Consortium; Member of Computer Science Advisory Committee, Department of Computer Science, HKU; Member of Advisory Committee on ICT Development of The Hong Kong Society for the Aged.

 

With a PhD in Science from the University of Hong Kong, Dr. Winnie Tang JP belongs to the locally-bred IT entrepreneur of Hong Kong.

Ir Dr. K F Tsang obtained his PhD degree from the Cardiff University of Wales, Cardiff, United Kingdom. He has close ties with industry, and is working actively on RFID (ZigBee) for numerous applications, including energy management system for utilities, metering infrastructure, security, and office/home automation. Dr Tsang has published more than 150 technical papers. He was the recipient of CityU’s Applied Research Excellence Award, the first Hong Kong Science & Product Innovation Competition and the World Chinese Invention Exposition. The other accolades won by Dr Tsang include the EDN Asia Innovator Award, Ericsson’s Super-Wireless Application Award, the Best Award from Freescale Semiconductor, the Innovation China Outstanding Entrepreneur Award and the Excellent Product Award from the China Hi-Tech Fair. KF is the Associate Editor and the Guest Editor of IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, the Chairman of Technical Committee “Wireless and Cloud Architecture For Industrial Applications” of the Industrial Electronics Society, Editor of KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, the ZigBee Chair of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society, as well as the Chairman of the Internet of Things Special Users Group Hong Kong (IoT SUG HK). Dr. Tsang is a Fellow of HKIE, Senior Member of IEEE and is now an Associate Professor as well as the Director of Wireless Sustainability Center in the Department of Electronic Engineering, City University of Hong Kong.

Mr. Eric Yeung is currently the Managing Director of FlexWorkflow Limited and he is also the founder of FlexWorkflow. Eric completed his undergraduate study in the Department of Computer Science & Engineer of Chinese University of Hong Kong. He also obtained the Master Degrees of Business Administration (MBA) and the Science in E-Commerce.

 

Eric also plays an active role in IT industry as well. He is the convener of Smart City Consortium, the chairman of Hong Kong Software Industry Association, the vice chairman of the Internet Professional Association, the council members of both Hong Kong Computer Society and the Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council. Besides, Eric is constantly invited to give speeches in colleges and regularly interviewed by major media of Hong Kong. He is also an article writer for many famous newspaper and journals on topics concerning IT industry and youth issues. Devoting himself to various types of community service, Eric endeavors to promote technology innovation and encourage the youth to contribute to the society. Concerning of youth development, Eric advocates the youth to train up themselves and make contribution to the society. And also disseminate the positive information to the public, shaping a harmonious society with innovative technology.

 

Eric takes his role as a member of Advisory Committee on Innovation and Technology, and Council for sustainable development and also committee member of Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education, Small and Medium Enterprises Committee, the Telecommunications Users and Consumers Advisory Committee (TUCAC), Telecommunications Regulatory Affairs Advisory Committee (TRAAC), the Kowloon City District Youth Programme Co-Ordinating Committee and the Kwai Tsing District Youth Programme Co-Ordinating Committee. In 2010, Eric was selected as the 4th Young Leader of the Junior Chamber International Hong Kong.

As a Customer Solutions Architect for Cisco Systems HK, Mr. Raymond Poon is the lead for Cisco Internet of Everything vision locally representing the largest network communication company in the world. He has over 15 years of experience in the wire and wireless data networking and communication technologies. His daily role involves closely dealing with large property developers, power utilities, retail and logistics business listening to their challenges and provide advice and suggestion in solving their problem with ICT solutions.

Dr. Allen Wong is currently the Head of Product and Business Development, HKT Consumer Group, responsible for product development and creating new business that serves residential market.  This includes, “eye” multimedia service for fixed-line, Netvigator Fiber-to-the-Home broadband, Smart Living and HKT Education’s e-Learning solutions.  Allen is also one of the technology founders of the company’s renowned nowTV IPTV platform and public WiFi service.

 

Allen has over 20 years of R&D Engineering experience in Broadband access and Video compression technologies.  Prior joining HKT in 2001, Allen has held several senior technical pre-sales positions in 3Com Asia Pacific Ltd., Harmonics Inc., LSI Logic, C-Cube Micro-system and A.S. Watson Group. 

 

Allen graduated from University of Bath, United Kingdom where he received a Ph.D. and a BSc with First Class Honours from School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Mr. Kelvin Wan is Head of Process and Project Management at Kingfisher PLC, a company worth GBP11 billion operating in Europe, China and Russia. His background is in supply chain management, with a focus on BI (business intelligence) and ERP (enterprise resource planning). Kelvin uses BI and ERP to analyse the raw data collected by businesses, to streamline existing processes and to deliver supply chain cost savings.  

 

Kelvin has performed SAP/APEX integration, demand forecast modeling, OTB planning, KPI BI dashboard development and cost modeling. His initiatives have led to optimisation of resources and increased business margins. 

 

Kelvin has a particular interest in developing dashboards via Qlikview and Power BI. Business owners use these platforms to instantaneously perform "what if" analyses and tailor their business strategy accordingly.

 

 

Mr. Kent Lam received his tertiary education in Canada in the professional area of Surveying Engineering.  He has over twenty five years of working experience in tertiary education and GIS system development in Hong Kong and Canada. He was proud to be the GIS consultant and service provider for many major commercial and government GIS-transportation projects in Hong Kong. 

 

Mr. Lam also helped to develop the first completed vehicle navigation database of Hong Kong for imported vehicles.  He is currently served as the vice-president of the Intelligent Transportation Systems Hong Kong Association.  After working in the private industry for ten years, Kent re-jointed The Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a Teaching Fellow.  His current research areas are smart transportation and building information modeling.
